VIRGO MRI SYSTEM

The Virgo Magnetic Resonance Imaging System was one of the first MRI's to feature a styling cues and colours traditionally used in consumer products. This was done to make the product feel more familiar to patients who were often intimidated by the large white boxes that dominated the MRI market at the time. This practice is now common throughout the medical device industry.
Tangram principal designer Robert Johnston designed the Virgo MRI System while employed as lead designer at Millennium Technology Inc. Robert was repsonsible for the overall design aesthetic, ergonomic studies, CAD documentation, and manufacturing liason.
